Gambling Harm Counselling

Gambling doesn't always look like what you'd expect. It can be the app on your phone you check compulsively, the account you've hidden from your partner, or the money that keeps disappearing before you understand where it went. Maybe you've promised yourself — and others — that this time will be different, only to find yourself back there again.

You don't have to face this alone, and you don't have to wait until things fall apart completely to reach out.

I work with individuals affected by  gambling harm, as well as partners, parents, and family members living with the impact of someone else's gambling — often called "affected others." Whether you're trying to stop, trying to understand why you can't, or trying to support someone you love through it, therapy offers a space to look at what's really driving the behaviour and start building a different relationship with money, control, and yourself.

Using a trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach grounded in CBT and ACT, we'll work at your pace to understand the patterns underneath the gambling, rebuild trust where it's been damaged, and develop practical strategies for the moments that matter most.

I provide this support in Bundoora, Mill Park, South Morang, Epping, Reservoir, Doreen, Mernda, Wollert, Thomastown, Lalor, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Preston, Somerton, and across greater Melbourne — in person and via telehealth. Sessions are available in English and Arabic. As a PACFA-registered Clinical Counsellor with 5+ years of experience and over 1,500 individual sessions, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience as a migrant, mother, and career changer to every session.
