About The Counsellor
My name is Roula, a registered counsellor. I decided to change my career path as a web developer and a software engineer to pursue my calling and dream of counselling people to become the best version of themselves.
Being a bilingual counsellor who speaks both English and Arabic, with counselling skills earned from my studies and different related trainings, I had the opportunity to work with lots of clients and positively touch and add to their lives as much as they did to mine.
Utilising my counselling skills next to my experience in different roles and parts of my life has provided me with unique insights and perspectives that greatly benefit my clients. Being a partner can help me relate to my clients facing relationship difficulties and trying to maintain healthy partnerships. And being a parent, I deeply understand the joys and challenges of raising children. Equipped with knowledge and experience, I support them in their parenting journey.
On the other hand, being a migrant and a minority has given me a rich understanding of the experiences faced by individuals who encounter cultural, social, or systemic challenges, which enables me to provide culturally sensitive counselling and support to clients from similar and different backgrounds, helping them navigate different issues.
I leverage my personal experiences as sources of strength and wisdom while maintaining professional boundaries and continuously developing my counselling skills. By combining my background with my counselling expertise, I can make a significant difference in the lives of those I work with.
